NEWS FROM WEC LINES: LAUNCH OF A NEW SERVICE BETWEEN SPAIN-NORTH EUROPE AND THE UNITED KINGDOM

WEC Lines will offer from October 24, 2020 a new container service between Spain and the Northern Europe area, both Continental and United Kingdom, responding to market demand.

The service is structured in Spain through the hubs of Madrid, Zaragoza, Valencia and Barcelona, ​​which connect by intermodal transport with the port of Bilbao.

The base port in Europe is Moerdijk, strategically located to provide fast and competitive coverage to the markets of the Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, Germany, Norway and Poland, through maritime and intermodal connections by barge and rail.

The home ports in the UK are Thamesport, Immingham, Teesport and Blyth. Oslo, Moss and Kristiansand in Norway. In Germany the hub is located in Duisburg and in Wroklaw the one in Poland.

The service is weekly, with fixed departure and arrival days, covering most combinations within a week. In this way, WEC Lines facilitates the change from road cargo to Shortsea, with the consequent reduction of carbon emissions, and allowing users a reliable logistics to easily fit into their order dynamics.

WEC Lines has its own offices in Spain, its own fleet of vessels, a wide range of containers and years of experience in this market as a Shortsea shipping company to and from the Iberian Peninsula.
